What It Entails

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with All Breed Rescue! We rely on our volunteers to help our organization succeed. Being an ABR volunteer means making a difference in the lives of rescue dogs, advocating for rescue and adoption, and meeting lots of dogs and dog-loving humans. 

What Our Volunteers Do

Daily Activities

  • Keep the shelter facility clean and tidy
  • Organize supplies
  • Walk dogs
  • Attend events to promote ABR
  • Help with basic administrative tasks
  • Fundraise
  • Introduce dogs to adopters
  • and so much more!


  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Attend an hour long orientation
  • Complete a 30 minute cleaning shift
  • Walk a rescue with our volunteer coordinator
  • Always wear your volunteer badge
  • Treat our dogs with kindness, patience, and compassion
  • Welcome direction from shelter staff and senior volunteers
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Things To Keep In Mind

Always bring treats and poop bags with you

Make sure to have a good grip on the leash

Never take our dogs off leash

Never introduce our dogs to other dogs

Exercise your best judgment if introducing our dogs to other people
